PDBuilder is an educational software platform operated by Smartware Advisors, Inc. This Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy explains how purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and withdrawal rights work.

By purchasing or upgrading PDBuilder, you agree to this Policy.

1. Purchase Options

PDBuilder offers the following access options:

  • Free access with limited features

  • Paid subscriptions or upgrades that unlock additional features, tools, or usage limits

All paid options are clearly displayed at the time of purchase, including:

  • Price

  • Billing frequency (monthly or annual)

  • Features included

  • Renewal terms

Prices are listed in the applicable currency and may vary by region.

2. Subscription Billing & Renewal

2.1 Automatic Renewal

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period

  • Renewal occurs at the then-current price unless you cancel beforehand

  • You authorize PDBuilder to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis

You can cancel at any time before the renewal date to avoid future charges.

2.2 Billing Timing

  • Monthly subscriptions are billed every month on the original purchase date

  • Annual subscriptions are billed once per year in advance

  • Charges are processed by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe)

PDBuilder is not responsible for failed charges due to payment provider issues or expired payment methods.

3. Cancellation Policy 

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Through your account settings, or

  • By contacting customer support

What happens after cancellation:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period

  • No further charges will occur after cancellation

  • We do not provide partial refunds for unused time, except where required by law

4. Refund Policy (General Rule)

Except where legally required:

  • All purchases are non-refundable

  • We do not offer refunds for:

    • Partial use

    • Change of mind

    • Lack of usage

    • Misunderstanding of features

PDBuilder is an educational digital service, and access is provided immediately upon purchase.

5. European Union & UK – Right of Withdrawal 

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under consumer protection law.

5.1 14-Day Withdrawal Right

You normally have the right to withdraw from a digital purchase within 14 days unless you waive this right.

5.2 Waiver of Withdrawal Right for Digital Content

By purchasing a paid PDBuilder subscription and accessing the platform immediately, you expressly agree that:

  • You want immediate access to digital content and services, and

  • You acknowledge that once access begins, your 14-day right of withdrawal is waived

This waiver is required under EU law and is typically captured via:

  • A checkbox at checkout, or

  • Clear purchase confirmation language

If access has not yet begun, you may exercise your withdrawal right within 14 days.

6. Canada – Consumer Rights

Canadian consumer protection laws vary by province.

In general:

  • Digital services provided immediately are non-refundable, except where required by law

  • If a refund is legally required in your province, we will comply

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights under applicable Canadian law.

7. United States – Consumer Protection

For U.S. customers:

  • Subscription terms and renewal pricing are disclosed before purchase

  • You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time

  • No refunds are required once digital access has been granted, unless otherwise required by law

8. Price Changes

PDBuilder may change pricing in the future.

  • Price changes do not affect your current billing period

  • Updated prices apply at the next renewal

  • We may notify you in advance where required by law

9. Failed Payments & Account Suspension

If a payment fails:

  • We may retry billing

  • Access to paid features may be suspended until payment is resolved

  • Continued failure may result in account downgrade or termination

10. Taxes & VAT

  • Prices may exclude applicable taxes, VAT, or digital service taxes

  • Taxes are calculated and displayed at checkout where required

  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes in your jurisdiction

11. No Professional Services

Purchasing a paid plan does not create:

  • A consulting relationship

  • A professional advisory relationship

  • Any guarantee of outcomes

All paid features remain educational in nature, as described in the Terms of Use.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time.

  • Changes apply prospectively

  • Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance
